So on Monday I wanted to try to make the Pinball speak to the Computer via a
Wiring USB interface. The Pinball target circuit puts out 25V versus the interface which only can hold a mere 5V max. With my basic knowledge of physics I figured I needed some
resistors to do the job. When I went to get some the people at the shop stongly advised me not to build this circuit. The
induction build up in the resistor after could eventually and most probably blow my Wiring interface. They advised me to use
opto-couplers. These opto couplers would isolate my interface in the circuit from being damaged.
So I tried a few set ups, did not yet find a working one, but I'm working on it.
